Where does AI (artificial intelligence) fit with the Lean Industry

The accelerating pace of AI change and rising customer expectation and profit expectations put increasing pressure on companies’ leaders seeking to be at the forefront of their industries.  To stay on top of – let alone ahead of – these challenges, companies must rapidly, continuously improve, adapt and evolve to gain an advantage over competitors and maintain a competitive advantage with customers. What are your thoughts on the following:

  1. How do you think about the blending of AI and Lean?
  2. What happens to your culture when AI says we don’t need your input anymore? Will we only use the AI system data?
  3. Is AI a holistic methodology or a toolset like Six Sigma?

I believe AI is good when coupled with your data collected during the assessment phase to enhance your value stream maps to identify waste.
