Show me someone who has done something worthwhile, and I’ll show you someone who has overcome adversity.
– Lou Holtz

Consistency for a Lean leader is a must. A trusted leader maintains a calm and collected demeanor, even under fire. Their staff are therefore more likely to approach with great ideas, as well as with legitimate concerns.

By maintaining consistent expectations, and reacting in a consistent manner, leaders build trust with the team. Teams can display their concerns openly on a Visual Management Center because they know its penalty free to communicate.

A trusted leader knows employees are all treated equally by the way their people react to change. Can your leaders trust you to follow a set of principles and values? Consistency works both ways. Consistency is having self-awareness of our behaviors. Behaviors are behavioral acts like saying good morning to everyone or thank you for just coming to work each day.

Consistency creates an organization that believes in its vision. Consistency creates the foundation of the team to work as one team to complete their Lean mission that supports the company vision. When a leaders Consistency breaks down so goes the team commodity.
